The hold-down set makes it easier to remove and install suspension springs on wishbone and multi-link axles. Recommended, for example, when removing and installing with the internal spring tensioning device – KL-0033-10 E. The hold-down is inserted between the upper axle link and the vehicle body and slightly pre-tensioned. This now holds the wheel suspension in its current position while the suspension spring is tensioned, which reduces the required tensioning path and makes removing the suspension spring much easier.
